The Perry Soil and Water Conservation District is happy to be involved in the area of EcoTourism.  Perry County is a beautiful place to hike, fish, hunt, and kayak.  We will post the specifics of each event on this page.

July 19-24 - Perry County Fair 

August 7, 2021 - Perry SWCD Annual Meeting & Open House  11 am - 4 pm @ Perry County Gun Club

August 17, 2021 - Perry SWCD Board of Supervisors Meeting 5 pm at District Office

August 22, 2021 - Perry SWCD "Try It Day" (Kayaks/Canoes) Lake Tecumseh in Shawnee 12-3

August 27, 2021 - Perry SWCD & OSU Extension "Greet & Meet" at new office location 1 - 4:30 pm

CANOES, KAYAKS, AND STAND UP PADDLE BOARDS

​

The Perry SWCD has purchased 10 canoes, 14 Stand Up Paddleboards and 20 Kayaks through  Boat Safety grants they received in 2015, 2016, and 2017.  The SWCD will be providing Try-It days throughout the recreational season as well as boater safety classes.
